Welcome, your reading the Valve Fan blog, made by Fans for Fans.
Lets get started by telling you what Achieved games valve have released on the Pc.
Valve created the original "Half-life" back in November 19, 1998. little did they know that this gem of a game would grow up to become one of the most recognized Pc games ever made, this also fathered the very fist 'Source' engine which to this day is still being upgraded and used by other modders and creators alike.
Then in 2004 valve came back on the scene with the now legendary "Half-Life 2" the multi-award winning game of the year 2004-5. started another generation of people into Fps gaming on the Pc. this game is still going strong with sales of over 3,000,000 copies world wide. people still use this as base materials for the new, and advanced, modding teams looking into making a post-apocalyptic game environment.
After another 2 years of being silent Valve Released "Half-Life 2: Episode 1" the reason for this was that valve did not want to delay their releases for a whole 6 years so now they are releasing a trilogy of episodes continuing where "half-life 2" left off.
And then a mere 1 year later "Half-life 2: Episode 2" was released with a whole revamp of graphic updates and physic scales that every game looked at in awe. along with this game valve released some of their previously secret projects which have become Top sellers not only on the Pc but also on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
As mentioned above Valve released "Portal" the next gen. puzzle Fps that introduces the concept of using portals to solve puzzles, there was a great build up and an excellent release sales record, with gamers everywhere debate online weather or not the cake is a lie, if you have played the game I’m sure you understand.
Also Released Team Fortress 2, the massive online shooting game done using cartoon-like textures, guns and effects to create a unique gaming experience that combines team play depending on your character with professional quality maps and great objectives that cant be done if the team free roams. this game has a metascore of 99/100 making it the 3rd best meta score game there is.
And Then there are "Counter Strike: Source" and many half-life run offs, but ill leave that for another time. thanks for reading the first post of Valves Fan Blog.
