Valve's Left For Dead
Left For Dead or l4d is the newest game to come out of valves lair with record breaking pre orders and initial sales this game has had an amazing start, with over 700,000 sales in the first month, this game will surely stay strong.
L4D is a post-apocalyptic game where a virus has turned regular people into zombies and there’s just you and 3 other friends to kill all them alone. Fighting through each chapter to eventually get evacuated the finales and horde attacks are completely random and no one will ever be the same.
Unfortunately valve let many people down by only creating 10 new weapons and each using revamped sounds from Counter Strike: Source also by valve. this sparked disappointment as it limited the amount of ways that you could shoot a zombie.
L4d was expected to flare user generated content but this again was also stopped by the way you connect to servers, instead of using the steam default server browser they decided to add a Call of duty 4 style server browser where you wait for a server to become free before you can connect, taking away free choice and leaving you with what you get, this limi9ted the user generated content because now people cant see what type of map they are going to connect to therefore making it generally hard to choose user generated content, and its because of this that l4d shall not live as long as its predecessors like Half Life 2: Deathmatch or Counter Strike: source both by Valve

Counter Stike By Valve; Why it's Successful
Counter Strike: Source is one of the biggest selling online Fps's to date. its all about counter terrorist trying to foil terrorist plans. Many players belive that nobody can eve map as good as the originals, however there are many mappers that use the Cs:s (Counter Strike Abriviation) as their learning point and carelessly releasing the maps but there are those who learned from it, but have come back to it and have mapped successfully.
Some of the Cs:s gamemodes include Defusing a bomb; Rescuing terrorists or Elimination. the gamemodes depend upon the map for example, Cs_mulita as seen on the right is a Rescue Map made by the official Valve mappers.
I think that the Cs:s game will live for many more year to come, even when better quality games are realeased, Cs:s by Valve will always be a game for the history books.

Welcome to Valve Fan Blog
Welcome, your reading the Valve Fan blog, made by Fans for Fans.
Lets get started by telling you what Achieved games valve have released on the Pc.
Valve created the original "Half-life" back in November 19, 1998. little did they know that this gem of a game would grow up to become one of the most recognized Pc games ever made, this also fathered the very fist 'Source' engine which to this day is still being upgraded and used by other modders and creators alike.
Then in 2004 valve came back on the scene with the now legendary "Half-Life 2" the multi-award winning game of the year 2004-5. started another generation of people into Fps gaming on the Pc. this game is still going strong with sales of over 3,000,000 copies world wide. people still use this as base materials for the new, and advanced, modding teams looking into making a post-apocalyptic game environment.
After another 2 years of being silent Valve Released "Half-Life 2: Episode 1" the reason for this was that valve did not want to delay their releases for a whole 6 years so now they are releasing a trilogy of episodes continuing where "half-life 2" left off.
And then a mere 1 year later "Half-life 2: Episode 2" was released with a whole revamp of graphic updates and physic scales that every game looked at in awe. along with this game valve released some of their previously secret projects which have become Top sellers not only on the Pc but also on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
As mentioned above Valve released "Portal" the next gen. puzzle Fps that introduces the concept of using portals to solve puzzles, there was a great build up and an excellent release sales record, with gamers everywhere debate online weather or not the cake is a lie, if you have played the game I’m sure you understand.
Also Released Team Fortress 2, the massive online shooting game done using cartoon-like textures, guns and effects to create a unique gaming experience that combines team play depending on your character with professional quality maps and great objectives that cant be done if the team free roams. this game has a metascore of 99/100 making it the 3rd best meta score game there is.
And Then there are "Counter Strike: Source" and many half-life run offs, but ill leave that for another time. thanks for reading the first post of Valves Fan Blog.
